At BIETSCH Orthodontics, we see patients of all ages, who are concerned with the appearance of their teeth. If you are adamantly against wearing traditional braces as an adult, please know that you are not alone. This is why we offer Invisalign. Invisible, removable, and comfortable acrylic trays, also known as Invisalign aligners, can correct misaligned teeth in less than 2 years (in most cases). You can carry on your normal routines while correcting your teeth without anyone knowing you are wearing an oral appliance. Because they are removable, you can eat and drink normally and brushing and flossing is much easier for Invisalign patients.
Invisalign is especially effective for men and women with:
- Over bites
- Open bites
- Under bites
- Rotated or crooked teeth
- Crowded teeth
- Excessive spacing between teeth (gapped teeth)
If you are concerned about the appearance of your teeth, but do not want to wear traditional braces, we understand. Come into our office and talk to Dr. Bietsch about your options. We will gladly listen to your concerns and answer your question about our treatment options with Invisalign.

Once you have opted to have the Invisalign treatment, photographs of your smile (from several angles), digital X-rays, and impression of your teeth will all be taken and sent to Invisalign. Then, a set of custom aligners (made of clear plastic), will be created for your mouth so that precise changes can be made to your teeth. Dr. Bietsch will have you come in for follow-up appointments as your teeth change position, and provide you with the next stage of your treatment and newly made set of aligners.
What to Expect from Invisalign®
Your orthodontic care with Invisalign will last 1 – 2 years in most cases. During your treatment planning session, Dr. Bietsch will determine how long you will need to wear the Invisalign products to realign your teeth. You will visit our office for new set of aligners every 4 to 6 weeks (as needed for adjustments) during the course of your treatment. The aligners need to be worn all the time, except for meal times. Once you are finished eating, you will need to brush your teeth before putting the Invisalign aligners back on. Once you have clicked them back into place, you can go about your day as normal
After your Invisalign treatment is complete, the last tray will act as your retainer, or a new impression will be made to fabricate retainers that will hold the position of your teeth.
